Some freaking jackass centipede decided that somewhere in the house would be a MUCHOS GRANDE place to have a nest and the only reason i know this is because

BECAUSE OF THIS comic image of me discovering baby centipedes like holy shitake mushrooms

So we bug bombed the shit out of the bedrooms and after the chemical warfare was waged the humans were declared victorious. But then the next morning...

BECAUSE OF THIS comic image WHY ARE THERE STILL ALIVE BABY CENTIPEDES OH WHY

I stabbed the shit out of that one using scissors and the bedrooms have been bombed again BUT SERIOUSLY WHY. WHHHHHYYY. I DO NOT ENJOY LIVING IN FEAR OF TINY ASS CENTIPEDES.

:noes: I am very glad all we have to deal with is ants! We've waged war for days, trying to scrub everything to make them just go away. But they keep finding crumbs and teeny drops of juice and OH MY GOD WHY DO THEY LIKE MAC AND CHEESE SO MUCH?!?! I finally resorted to violence and after three rounds of bleach water I switched to vinegar water with peppermint extract. I heard they hate it so they better be gone come morning. :stare: I wish you many fly swatters and whatever preys on centipedes unless those are worse.

Ants are not so bad as centipedes...but they are equally annoying especially when somehow they get in what you thought were closed packages of food and shit like how :noes: If you dont have pets around you could try ant bait (the little dry sand looking type), its not as natural as the ways you've been using but it's pretty effective! We have to use it over here otherwise we'd just ben overrun during the wet season lol.

Oh we got the pest control guy to come and spray the house inside and out so humans 1 centipedes 0 :mwahaha:
Literally these things do not die with flyswatters you need to literally keep them in one place and spray the crap out of them with mortein and wait 20 minutes for them to die and beat the crap out of them or cut their heads off XD

:nuu: such terrifying wiggly things! i've been able to keep our creepy-crawlies at bay using cinnamon. turns out, ants hate the stuff. though to be fair it may be because they breathe through their "skin" and getting it on them makes them suffocate. :( a terrible way to go. it looks like we're still going to have to resort to poisoning them.

That sounds like my old house but with centipedes instead of spiders... we had so many... on one of the worst days we took a tally and between 5 people we had killed nearly 200 spiders! One day I tried to put on a shirt from my dresser that was washed the day before and there was a spider (and spider web) in it already. Ew ew eww.

:iconimhorrifiedplz: Ok no you know what your old house was? The basis of a horror manga. Heck you were probably living in a horror manga without realising it. Or at least the basic plot premise of many spider horror shows like Arachnophobia. The fact that you are still alive to tell me this indicates you were a main character and lived to tell the tale :noes:

Actually that would make a lot of sense. I was possibly saved once from a black widow spider bite because one of my old audio cassette tapes stopped playing and I had to turn on my lamp to flip the cassette in my Walkman without knocking it off of my side-table. While doing so I noticed something crawling up over the edge of my pillow toward my face... it was a freaking huge black widow! I killed it but got hardly any sleep that night.

I found a pretty good way to kill large spiders though. Wrap a very thin, but sturdy book and a VERY heavy hard-bound book in brown paper bag material. Lure the spider onto the thinner book and drop/throw the heavier book at it. This is 120% more effective than hitting/stepping on them on carpet, and surprisingly it did not seem to damage the books at all. Would not suggest for tarantulas though. Either get cleats or burn the house down and move somewhere else. Live in your car if you have to.

It would have been worse if they all came out singing "It's A Small World After All".

Don't ask. That song always gave me the creeps... >>

I don't know why it creeps me out, it just does... Maybe the little animatronic kids with permanent smiles painted on their porcelain faces did it...?

omg, so I went on a retreat one time to get my sex education/assault counseling certification and the cabin thing we stayed in was INFESTED with centipedes. or millipedes, idfk.... they were little but they were EVERYWHERE like it was really hard to walk down the hall without stepping on one so you had to put on your shoes as soon as you woke up and when you crushed one it went SNAP CRUNCH horrible horrible things...

and one time I was sitting at my computer and I felt a weird jabbing sensation, and I thought I had like a twig or something stuck in my pants so I felt around AND PULLED A FUCKIN SCORPION OUT OF MY PANTS
I screamed and threw it and ran out of my room to get my step mom to kill it or relocate it or something and she's like 'why did you throw it, now it's lost in your room'
like, I threw it because IT WAS A SCORPION and I do not want to be holding those jesus.

anyway, I feel your pain *patpat* Even though you brought it on yourself living in Australia lol

Were they rounded or kinda pointy everywhere cos those sound like millipedes as opposed to centipedes. You can always tell because centipedes are bastards and will run after you like a vendetta whereas millipedes just roll into a circle and pretend to be dead XDD But still not something you'd want to step on all the time oh my jesus gross :noes: Would've been a good time to learn ballet or something lol :P

When I lived in New Mexico, we used to have centipedes sneaking into our house. Sometimes they'd cling to our ceilings like ninjas and a couple of times I found them in my bath tub. Usually I'd flush them down with water for a good ten minutes, but god I hate centipedes! So I completely sympathize with you

Third panel RoFLmAo XD

I was thinking of that yesterday when 5yo was lifting rocks and paving stones to look for "wormies" and was telling me he'd found a black one.  Asked him if it had legs and he said yes, and he couldn't tell me if it had pincery bits on the front and back so I said put the rock down it might be a centipede.  If it comes out the chickens will eat it.  Obviously you need chickens ;) All gone now?

Hopefully it was a millipede and not a centipede :noes: PFFT we dont need chickens there are so many running free and wild around here i'm surprised the island isnt famous now for refugees, chickens and red crabs in that order :P

Haven't seen any after the second bombing but we're still going to call Zainal or someone to come do a pro spray of the house just in case.
