What is Hedone High?
Hedone High is an original universe/storyline primarily focusing on my characters A.E.D and Izm, but in much different roles to their Invader Zim fancharacter counterparts.

In the HH universe, A.E.D and Izm are teenage boys who attend Hedone High, boarding school for boys. A.E.D is a not-so-caring-about-laws prefect whilst Izm is more along the lines of a troublemaking student that just happens to dabble in schoolyard black-marketeering, drug running and a little bit of blackmail on the side.

Their school is basically a normal one but with real life quirks being more pronounced.

How do you pronounce their names?
A.E.D = aye ee dee (yes, just say the letters)
Izm = izzem (rhymes with "prism")
Hedone = hee don
Rire = rye er (rhymes with "fire")
Wei Ren = way ren
Zeke = zeek
Marcus = mark us
Nurse Isla = nurse eye-lah


What are Hedone HighJinks?
Hedone HighJinks (aka HHJ) are oneshot comic strips dealing with the boys' strange relationship. They're one shot because 1) at the moment i don't have an epic storyline for them, 2) one shots are easier to draw and 3) i'm lazy.

At the moment there are fourteen HHJ strips. READ THEM ALL! (Newest ones are first in the collection)


Izm wears a swastika, is he a Nazi?
Oh boy this one is kind of a difficult concept to grasp because of the bad rep the symbol has now But to put it basically: no, no he is not a Nazi, he just happens to like the design. In fact if you want to be technical the swastika symbol existed in culture and society long before Hitler propagated it as his party symbol (you can read all about it here on Wikipedia).

And yes i realise that he is essentially wearing the Nazi flag on his arm; i assure you it is purely design aesthetics. Black, white and red happen to be his main choice of colours. You would not believe how many times i've cursed Hitler for using the colours in such an aesthetically decent manner before me. If it's any consolation i don't often draw the armband in it's entirety since it's a sensitive aspect.

Who are they?
I don't use these guys as often anymore, as they had even less of a coherent storyline than HH The main gist of these characters was that Demon!A.E.D was a grim reaper for aliens, and that Irken!Izm was the one soul that happened to get away. Cue epic game of cat and mouse, where at any given point in time it's not quite sure who's the cat and who's the mouse.

Again, despite the names and looks these guys have no story relation with the Hedone Highers.

Of course you can, i love it when people take the time to draw/write about my characters!
Just remember to give me proper credits and stuff for them by writing something like "characters (c)..." and then linking to my page with either or Darqx (OR BOTH LOL).


Can this fanart/fanfic be slash of your characters?
Yeah sure, i don't mind. If you could keep them (somewhat) in character that would be great.

What programs and tools do you use to make your art?
Adobe Flash CS3 - for lineart and animations
Adobe Photoshop CS2 - for colouring
Wacom A5 Graphire4 tablet

Yeah if you can't tell i do a lot of digital art lol.


What skills do you have?
Well at the moment i can kinda draw, animate and code XHTML/CSS journals and websites. I also dabble a bit in making trad crafts (i'm decorating notebooks right now). Writing is not really my strong point |D


Can you teach me to use Flash/Photoshop?
I'm...not sure how well that would turn out If you need help or have questions about them you can note me and i will try and assist you. Otherwise you should look up tutorials on DA or Google as they will more than likely be more in depth.


How do you come up with your characters?
Truthfully, a lot of my character development happens spontaneously. For me it can be triggered by anything; a character might come about because of a name, or a characteristic, or how they might fit into the story, or an idea of their family/background etc. After that initial thought i either add elements to them that seem "right" to me, or ditch elements or the character if it doesn't work out. Hopefully during this process i end up with a nice rounded character.

It's important that things feel "right". Like for instance Izm's last name is Tanner, which was the "right" name and i can't change it (i've tried lol) because nothing else sounds proper to me It's kinda hard to explain.


Why do you only draw males?
Because I can't draw females to save my life, that's why.

Can I draw your characters/use any of your pics to make money?



Can I use one of your pictures as pose reference?
I don't see why not, as long as you give proper CREDIT. Also remember there is a distinct difference between referencing and tracing. If in doubt, just ask me for permission.


Can I use any of your pictures for Myspace layouts/web graphics/etc?



Can I roleplay your characters online?


I'm sorry, but the thought of anyone doing that is way too weird |D


Can I cosplay as your characters?
you can dress up like them if you want


Your character looks just like how I envision my RP character! Can I use a pic of them to show how my RP character looks like?
No they don't and no you can't kthnx. It just ain't cool to swipe a pic of someone elses character and say it's your RP character, you know?

Do you RP?
At the moment, only with the OA gang. And even then i still feel like i'm doing something wrong |D
