This was done in between me trying to draw *DarkJak's characters and thinking about starting to do my characters reference sheets. Then my sis *Ryivhnn asked whether i could still do anime style and i was like "....uhhh...."

So because i could i tried to animify Zim and Dib, which i have only done twice before and they both came out pretty shocking. :fear: This pic on the other hand (even thought the lineart looks better without colour in my opinion) i was so happy with i even made it into a wallpaper with a nicer background and everything (which i may post up along with the Vid Game Duo wallpaper) =D

ANYWAY! Some bits of symbolism and stuff which you've probably caught on to and i'll try to explain. If you dont want an explanation you better skip this part =P

1) They're using their fingers to imitate what they'd do to each other (Zim's is a gun, Dib's is scissors) meaning they always say they'll do it but they dont really mean it. You can kinda get this from the IZ eps when they have all those chances of destroying each other but they never do, and they're always like "...IMA GONNA KILL YOU TOMORROW!" afterwards :XD: Hence the text 'All BARK and no BITE'

...I think they like to hate each other too much to kill each other. :giggle:

2) The background is fugly and i spent all 2.5 seconds on it (i hate sense-making backgrounds). It's stairs and they've had a fight and fallen down it. I think. And they've ended up in that position which looks slightly kinky but i swear that wasn't my intention, it just came out like that :XD: But it looks cute no?

3) DIB'S HEAD IS ACTUALLY BIGGER THAN ZIM'S. Yes, i did it 'anatomically correct' in comparison. Zim's head just looks bigger because Dib's got hair and his head's kinda inclined so it looks smaller. SO THERE! =P

4) Do not talk to me about perspective. I do not know thew meaning of the word.

Yeah, anyway i think i talk to much. :O_o: Nothing else i can think of though except this has been fun and i might try to animify ZIM and AED later. Oh, and Zim's shirt came out looking like a footy jumper ^^;

Hehe, i forgot to add that in the description but they are kinda older...and look! If you measure out their legs you'll see Dib is slightly taller! 8D

wel the impression i get is that they -think- they hate each other so theyre trying really hard to convince themselves that they hate each other but given a chance they would be best friends :)

your perspective actually looks fine (for once :P), you just needed a bit more shading on the stairs so it looks less flat :)

i like your anime style better than your iz style :P

Heh... that "don't talk to me about perspective" reminds me of Marvin from The Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy (if you've ever read that) where he says "Life? Don't talk to me about life."

Anyway... this picture made me laugh just because of the concept ;)
